Walker's at Work!

Last week I brought the idea up to the family, why not built the kids a little fort/tree house. Of course Emily LOVED the idea, and Glenn had to warm up to it. After plotting and planning, we got daddy involved on Friday, and he went to Lowe's Saturday to get some concrete and a few boards for support. We had some boards left in the garage after they built the house and since they were in good shape we used them and saved about $40!
Emily wanted to help a little, so she nailed in one nail...and she did a pretty good job.

But of course most of the work has been done by daddy. Emily was the nail holder, until she got too hot and tired.

We've not finished yet, but have gotten the support beams for the sides. Now to get the wood to enclose it, cut a door, and add a ladder and some other finishing touches and we'll have us a little treed house.

Other than building on the treehouse, here are a couple of photos of our activities. Emily reviewing some sight words...and Joseph lining up all his trucks and tractors!!!! He loves to line things up...and park them!
