Merry Christmas

Well since we haven't had much sunshine lately I've not been able to make my pictures in front of the Christmas tree in the day time...like last year.  I will say, that my photography skills have improved since last year too.  BUT first thing this morning I got the kids dressed (because the sun was coming in behind the tree...something that doesn't last long), and we had a photo shoot.  They amazed me, and I'm sure you as well.

It's amazing what some natural lighting can do for a photo.  I'm still in awe of how good these turned out.

We leave Saturday for MS, so I wanted to wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS from the Walker's, as I'm not going to be blogging before Christmas.  Have a wonderful Christmas celebrating Jesus' birth.  He was born so we might live...never forget at Christmas what happened at Easter.  Thanks be to God for sending this little baby into the world, to live and then die, SO we might LIVE!!!!
Merry Christmas.

Christmas Fun

Today we made footprint mangers. Monday we made the footprint handprint angels, but I didn't make pictures of those...but today I did manage to get a couple of pictures.
The below picture was from last week, of the kids taking out the piece for the advent calendar. Each night we read a scripture passage about Jesus.  The whole month we learn something about Jesus each day.  It's been very neat because it's not just Christmas scriptures.  Night before last we learned how Jesus is the Lamb of God.  Last night it was the prince of PEACE.  Something we all need this time of year...a little peace.
Finally I had to do a cake for Glenn's boss' little girl and it turned out wonderful.  The theme was snow princess!

Christmas Tree Photo Shoot

Well, Pinterest has had me envious of all these cute photos of the kids in front of the Christmas tree, SO I finally researched how to do it.  After getting Glenn's help trying to change settings on my camera, I think I finally got some good ones.  After editing them on PicMonkey.com I really think I scored!!!  The kids weren't really in the mood to have a photo shoot after bath because they were WILD, like they are every night after bath...but I got a few good ones.  Don't these just scream, "MERRY CHRISTMAS" to you!!!!!

Oh how I will look back on these one day and be so glad for catching them on camera!!!!

This last one shows what the photo shot really went like.  Emily pulling on Joseph trying to make him stand or sit right.  BUT all in all it turned out amazing.

First Craft Show

Saturday I did my first ever craft show in Warner Robins.  I really enjoyed it, but had NO clue what to expect, so now I have LOTS of stuff left over, especially ornaments.  They were by biggest seller but still have alot left.  I got alot of contacts for painting parties, so I'm hoping in the months to come to plan more painting parties.  I'm glad it is finally over, now we're are focusing on Christmas baking this week, and our churches dinner theater.  FUN and busy week

Gingerbread house & Christmas Trees

Well, we are back in GA and under a full week of fun activities.  We decorated our gingerbread house and got the tree up and house decorated this week.  This upcoming week is going to be CRAZY so I most likely won't be blogging.  I've got a painting party Friday night and the big craft show on Saturday.  I ask for your prayers for me and the whole family.  It may be me doing the craft show but it affects ALL of us in this house.  It will definitely be a crazy week, but I'm SO SUPER glad God's given me this opportunity to bring Art back into my life, and our lives.
Off that note, the kids absolutely loved the gingerbread house, but it's had to be moved out of sight because poor Joseph would actually eat it clean.
You can see how serious it was getting that candy just right...they really did do it themselves...I just added the icing on it.

 Well I did the icicles...

Christmas Card pictures 2012

We got our Christmas card pictures today!  Glenn got my blog worked out.  For only $2.00 a month I can continue uploading photos to it.  I hope that you enjoy the blog.  I hate to pay to keep it up, but it's a great way to remember our days in the past, in the years to come in the future. I don't scrapbook, but do keep the blog updated.  One day the kids can go back and read all about our days, and see photos from the past SO for that it's worth it.  Here are the 2012 Christmas card pictures.  They turned out GREAT!!!!
