Fall Festivities

The three pictures above were taken by our photographer William Haun. Well he's not really our photographer, but he is the best!!!
We started the week off with Fall Festival at Chick-fil-A on Tuesday night. Every Tuesday night is kids night, and for fall they do a big festival. Emily wouldn't play any of the games, she just wanted to watch all the other kids. She is definitely my people watcher. We (moma and I) decided last minute to meet Glenn after work for our supper.
Emily and her Mamaw enjoying Chick-fil-A.

Just this past week Joseph has gotten this whole crawling thing down. He moves everywhere now. I can't believe he's crawling so good at only 7 1/2 months. Emily didn't crawl until near 9 months I think. But she started walking by 11 months. The fun is beginning now as Emily leaves stuff around all the time that he can't have. Today he crawled from the couch to his swing, tried to pull up and stand holding the swing so Glenn moved it all the way on the other side of the room to put in the basement. Well what does Joseph do? Start heading over to the swing again, and he got there pretty fast. Life has definitely changed for use now.
He loves crawling over to the tv stand and playing with the child locks.

Emily in her "Laura" dress, ready to go to church for our Fall Festival Saturday night. We all dressed up like the Ingalls family and had a blast. I made her dress and apron, but already had her bonnet. It was pretty easy to make, but I didn't use the pattern, I just created it on my own.

My mamaw Alford made my bonnet a long time ago so I know she would be proud of this.

One tired baby, but you wouldn't know it. He skipped his last nap of the day since we were at church. He doesn't sleep much at church where there's so much going on. You wouldn't know he was exhausted looking at this picture, but he went to bed an hour earlier than usual. We had a fun filled week of activities so now we're hoping, just hoping for a bit of rest....maybe.

Not Much Happening

I've been a slacker at blogging lately, and I do apologize. My moma came into town on Friday and it's been crazy since. We had SPLASH at church this weekend (in town missions serve) and Joseph started getting sick on Sunday and then me Tuesday. We were suppose to go the MS on Monday this week, but just didn't feel we could make the trip and then turn around and go again in 3 weeks for Thanksgiving. I hate we missed Daddy making molasses but there's next year Lord willing.
Emily and Joseph reading their books below. She was playing story-time at the library and according to her she can do a better job than the new librarian, and I hate to admit it but she's right.
Joseph likes to chew on his books!

Joseph playing with his Mamaw. I hope you all have a great rest of the week.

Pumpkin Time 2010

Here are only a few of the pictures I took with the pumpkins. Of course Joseph was more interested in the grass and pumpkins than looking up for a picture. This one above he looked up but she didn't smile good. Go figure. Enjoy!

Cool Days

We are all certainly enjoying this fall weather...even though it's been VERY cold in the mornings. We really don't have but 2 seasons in the south, summer and winter! At least it's been nice and will be for a little while. Joseph has been able to sport his new jackets and hats. I don't remember it being this much fun with Emily, getting her dressed trying to look cute and putting hats on and all. Maybe it is because I was working when she was a baby, but I've been having SO much fun getting him ready. Isn't he a doll!!!

This was his actual first trip to experience the cold weather. He wasn't too sure of it.

Since Joseph's been doing such a good job of napping in his bed lately I've had time to sew. This is a pant suit I made for her from leftover fabric from their matching pumpkin outfits.

I've not tried on Joseph's yet, I think it's a little long but his others were too short so I made this one longer. I'll try to get pictures of them in these this weekend.
Here are their first matching outfits with the embroidery on it. They wore these on Sunday and were so adorable!

This is just a fun animal print jumper/romper I made for him.
