Christmas Card pictures 2012

We got our Christmas card pictures today!  Glenn got my blog worked out.  For only $2.00 a month I can continue uploading photos to it.  I hope that you enjoy the blog.  I hate to pay to keep it up, but it's a great way to remember our days in the past, in the years to come in the future. I don't scrapbook, but do keep the blog updated.  One day the kids can go back and read all about our days, and see photos from the past SO for that it's worth it.  Here are the 2012 Christmas card pictures.  They turned out GREAT!!!!

Thanksgiving 2012

Sorry no pictures, but google has taken over the blog, and is saying that I have exceeded my quota of GB for their server....imagine that!!!  It's not like I'm picture crazy.  SO until I figure out what to do, I just post with words.  BUT I will figure it out because I do not want to delete my 5 years of blogging and pictures!!!!

We are having fun in MS and really enjoyed Monday and Tuesday as we made molasses.  It was probably the most fun we've had in a long time.  2 of my childhood friends and their kids came down and played with Emily & Joseph.  They even went on a hayride.  I can't tell you the fun we had!!!

Today, Thanksgiving day, was NOT as fun.  We got up and were ready to head to Newton, I told Glenn I did NOT want to go.  I just felt like the day was wrong and something bad was going to happen and I just wanted to stay here and do NOTHING...but we headed on down to Newton.  Within 10 minutes of being there, we went out back to play in the yard, and while back there discovered some yellow jackets.  While discussing the situation they were landing all on Joseph and his clothes.  He started screaming I immediately threw my camera at Glenn and stripped his shoes and pants off.  He thankfully was only stung 2 times on his thigh.  BUT They were all lined up on his waist and pants.  When taking him in to treat it, while we were all screaming at the same time.....I did not remove his shirt outside.  SO we brought one of the beasts in with us.  Thankfully it did not sting anyone else...but poor little Joseph spent most of his Thanksgiving 2012 screaming, whining, and crying.  The yellow jacket is one of the most painful of all insect stings.  We put the magic Unker's on him and it seems to have helped ALOT.  The nurse told me tomorrow will look worse, and I'm most sure it will, as do most of his mosquito bites.  BUT he didn't stop breathing (my fear), and was doing just fine by bed.

I hope you all have a great rest of the Thanksgiving weekend...I hope to get pictures up soon.

Heading West

We will be heading to MS for the week of Thanksgiving tomorrow.  I couldn't be more excited since it's been July since we were there.  I miss EVERYONE, but miss my Mamaw Costilow probably the MOST.  I can't wait to see her and even the kids can't wait.  I'm going to be one busy moma while there so not much blogging will happen, but I will do my best to make pictures so I can blog when we get back.

Our agenda includes:

1.  Church Sunday (both kids are singing their thanksgiving song, Ps. 118:1 at church)
2.  Monday (molasses making maybe), then I'm doing a painting party at daddy's church with some friends of mine who are wanting me to paint with them that evening.
3. Tuesday (more molasses making)...me painting...
4. Wednesday, get ready for Thanksgiving...me...painting...
5. THANKSGIVING at Mamaw's in Newton
6. Friday, relax!!!
7. Saturday RELAX
8. Sunday travel back to GA

Now on ANY day (even when it says relax) I will be preparing for a craft show I'm doing Dec. 8th.  I've got TONS of painting to do before then, so hopefully I can sell a BUNCH of stuff that day.  SO I will by all means be doing anything relaxing....but for me painting and knitting are relaxing I guess.

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.

Fall Fun Day

Last year we had the girls come home with us for an absolute fall fun day.  We raked leaves, jumped in them, roasted marshmallows, and had ALL kinds of fun.  So about a month ago they started asking if they could come do that again.  So since we're leaving Saturday for MS for Thanksgiving this past Sunday was the day to do it.  As of Sunday though the leaves hadn't fallen off the trees too much they'd still been pretty and hanging on.  We got a rain last night and some wind so they are down today.  BUT we had a blast roasting hot dogs, and playing outdoor hide n seek.  When Joseph went down for a nap they got out the marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers to make s-more's.  I think they had a blast and so did we!  SO next year I'm sure we'll be calling it the 3rd annual fall fun-day

It's A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

As I type the title I'm reminded of Mr. Rodger's one of my favorite child tv shows.  But we took a walk in our neighborhood to see all the fall trees.  They are just at peak color here for Macon, GA. As you can see from the photos the colors are gorgeous!!!  Emily enjoyed riding her bike and Joseph just enjoyed riding in the stroller.  We collected lots of leaves and acorns.  We just love fall!!!!

These pictures turned out great. I can't tell you how beautiful that red was.  I don't see alot of red trees in our area but this one was gorgeous too.  We have mostly yellow.

We had to stop in front of Mrs. Donna's house because her crepe myrtle's were just perfect.
