Fall Photo Shoot

 As Grace Anne turned 8 months I had to make her pictures outside! She's had a cold for several weeks, but she was feeling much better to do these.  She LOVES pumpkins and especially loves this little one her brother picked out for her! These pictures show her happy personality! And the quilt she is on was made by my great aunt Tavie! 

 I attempted to make pictures with all three...and I have to just take what I can get.  Joseph has also been sick with the crud, but on top of it he was bitten by a scorpian last week, which got very bad infected!!!  He's been on strong antibiotics, but hes doing much better.  It was rough for a few day, until the infection busted!  After that it began to heal quickly.  These few photos show what it was like trying to get 3 to smile at the camera at the same time.  The very last photo I took was the best one!  I had just about given up, then SNAP....the last one was perfect...well perfect for me at least!

Grace Anne is 8 months and Glenn is 40!!!!

 Grace Anne turned 8 months old this month!  She is definitely growing fast and getting a little personality.  She started crawling good this month and has learned to clap her hands!  She's gaining weight now too and just enjoys life!!!! Her favorite food is still mommy's milk, and her oatmeal.  She will eat baby food but prefers oatmeal. 

Emily is 9!

 I honestly cannot believe this girl is 9!!!!!  It seems like yesterday she was turning 1!  We celebrated this year with a cowgirl theme.  We had all the fun cowgirl goodies to eat, and had SO much fun with this theme!  Cow Patties (chocolate covered peanuts), S'mores on a stick (which were the BOMB), Veggies and "ranch", Haystacks, and Trail Mix.  And of course cake and cupcakes!!!  For the main dishes we had "Lil' Doggies" (hot dogs), "Rootin' Tootin'" Baked beans, and "Cactus Cole Slaw" and Western Chips and Salsa. 

 As everyone got here they all put their names on a sheriffs badge, and then could either color a horse cut out, or draw faces on a "Wanted" poster.

 My friend Mary is starting up a face painting business and so she brought out all her stuff and did some awesome face painting.

 Of course it was wonderful to have our entertainers helping.  I don't know what I would've done without these two taking charge of games.  My daddy helped show them how to throw horse shoes.  And Will Acosta led out the rest of the games, most of which he made up spur of the moment!

 We had a LARGE group of children...Emily has SO many new friends we are so grateful for through Veritas. 

 Instead of bringing gifts we asked that everyone bring a donation that will go to Samritans Purse to help provide a goat to a needy family in another country.  Well one goat cost about $70, and they all brought near $300, SO many families will benefit from a goat. 

You shall have enough goats’ milk for your food, for the food of your household” (Proverbs 27:27)
