More Neshoba County Fair pictures

I will be uploading, and posting Fair pictures periodically, but since I've made near 350 photos (probably more), it's hard to narrow down which ones to post. These top two give you a little bit of a glimpse of what the first part of the Fair was like. We got almost 5 inches of rain from Thursday before the Fair until Tuesday! It made for some muddy days...and Joseph LOVED it, as you can see.

Emily & Madison however had to where there rubber boots...I'm not complaining though.
We got to visit with Emily Deaton on Saturday afternoon for a little while. She'll be moving to NC in a couple of weeks, and we're hoping she'll be able to stop at our house on her way when she moves to visit a little bit.

This year we were honored to have Randy, Glenn's brother come to the Fair. He had never been to the Fair so he was I'm sure quite shocked!
Glenn and Randy check their wallets to see if they have enough money to buy a snow cone. Too cute, can't believe I caught it on camera. We gave him the tour of the fairgrounds, and he even got to watch a mule race...you can't get more country than a mule race.


Spending time with all the other family. Uncle Larry will be having surgery next week, so keep him in your prayers!!!

Saturday's group photo, minus Glenn, the kids and Randy. My brother hadn't gotten there yet, so we made that group photo today. I don't know where Glenn, Emily & Joseph were (OH Joseph was asleep)

We had the bag pipe ladies come by the cabin, and actually almost put Joseph to sleep. He went upstairs right after this and went straight to sleep. They came and ate lunch with us and got to visit a little more as well.

Daddy and I entered things in the exhibit hall. I got several blue, red and white ribbons, but brought home the best in show for photography, and daddy brought home best in show for green tomatoes.

Neshoba County Fair 2011

Well I only have a minute to update on our trip to the Fair, so here are a few pictures (and I do mean a few) of all the fun we've had so far.

Mid Week Update

Since my last post we found a baby turtle and he became our new family pet, but in the days that we had this little guy he's now moved on back to the yard. His cage became nasty and smelly so we moved him back to the yard. Good bye Freddie Bird you will be missed but we are glad to not have to dig worms anymore.


These are just a couple of cute pictures of Joseph eating his banana. He's really good at just giving him a half of a banana and he can just put it down...and I mean fast. He LOVES bananas about as much as his watermelon!!!

This weekend the ice cream truck came by, and since I never saw an ice cream truck as a child I think it's so fun when they come by. We hadn't let her buy anything yet from it, so we thought we'd let her. Of course she chose the Dora sherbet bar.
Later Saturday afternoon we headed to an adult Sunday school party. Below are some of the kids we all have. Believe it or not there are SEVERAL couples who couldn't make it. There were almost more kids there than adults. We had a great time, and we even got a huge rain while we were there.


More recently though, Emily had 2 friends over yesterday, Mary Grace and Brayden, and this is what I found Joseph doing while they were in the back playing. He LOVES to read in his chair. I think it's the cutest thing, and now that he can get down from the chair it takes alot of worries off me. He's really learned how to get down off the couch and this chair.



All the girls played great together, and they had a great time painting. I always say YES whenever any one at my house asks if they can paint (I mean would I really be an "artist" if I said NO). Watercolors are washable, and easy to clean up so we always pull out the paints!!! It also entertains them for at least 30 minutes!
But with all the activity, Joseph says "Bye Bye". I think he was worn out more than anyone yesterday! Hope you all have a great rest of the week.
