Slow to Blog

With life being so filled with Homeschooling, family, church, painting parties, CAKEs, and more of all these I've not had much time to blog, OR make photos from my "real" camera just my phone.  God has richly blessed us with SO much and in that some things have to go on the back burner.  I will still keep up with family and friends through facebook, BUT not many read the family blog much anymore, so I will try to update it for my own documentation once in a while.  Until then I'm sorry, but hope to get back into it more soon.  Life is Precious, Life is Sweet!

February Fun

 Since we've not really had a COLD winter we've been able to get outside alot.  We've really enjoyed going for walks in the neighborhood and picking dandelions.  The above was made in Mrs. Donna's yard, by my camera on my phone (can you believe that a phone can make such good pictures).  BUT for the past few days we've had nothing but rain.  One day last week after it'd rained all day, the sun came out before supper and there was a rainbow.  Now the below picture was what Emily had painted earlier in the day after her reading lesson was about a rainbow, SO for us to look outside and see an actual rainbow we were pretty excited.  God always brings you a surprise just when you need it.

 Saturday we went down to Mercer to the basketball game (or baseball game as Joseph calls it) and enjoyed the game and free food for the staff appreciation day.  Tomorrow's Valentines day so LOVE to you all!

 I love that both my kids LOVE to read, even though Joseph can't read himself, he still loves to picture read, and get his sister to read to him.  I've been a slacker at blogging lately but here are a couple of photos of what I find them doing all the time.

Where did January go?

 Well, I can't believe that January has come and gone and now we welcome February!  We had a fun week this week looking at various things as usual but our favorite was the study on grasshoppers.  Above we made peanut butter play dough and formed a grasshopper out of it, then ate them!  A great activity that is super easy and SO good.  Below is Emily's painting of a grasshopper.  My little artist amazes me all the time.

 We also got to see family this week, as different times, but both were unexpected but welcomed.  Glenn's parents have sold there house in Columbus, MS and they are looking to move back to GA in 2 weeks.  AND we got a call the other night that Uncle Randy's truck was coming to Macon GA to unload a delivery at the Lowe's on Zebulon Rd.  SO we met him over there and got to see him for a few hours!
