5 weeks & 3 days

I went to have another ultrasound this morning, since I have been cramping still (not as bad though). It showed the gestational sac has definitely grown, showing I'm 5 1/2 weeks (where I'm suppose to be). It didn't show a heartbeat, but I wasn't expecting it to. I am a little concerned, but know that everything will be fine. I go in 2 weeks for another one so please pray the embryo has grown and developed and we can see a heartbeat then. My morning sickness is definitely getting worse, so that is a good sign. Please keep us in prayers as we travel tomorrow to MS. We are all excited about the fair, and I won't be able to post until we get back most likely. There isn't wireless access at the Fairgrounds :)

Cooler Summer Days

We have been enjoying some wonderful weather lately here, and I believe all across the south. We are all praying that this nice weather will hold out for the big Neshoba County Fair that begins Friday, July 24th!!! We will head to Philadelphia on Thursday, and I can't wait another day it seems. I've not been to MS since Easter, and I know for some of you that may mean nothing, but for me that's a long time!!! My moma came over here in May, and we saw everyone in the mountains in June, so the time has flown by, BUT I'm ready for some Red Dirt from the Fairgrounds!!!!! I know that my "morning" sickness will probably be getting worse while we are there, but I told Glenn I'm going to do everything I can to "ignore" it all and try to be in the best of moods.

We had a wonderful weekend, and I just wanted to share a few pictures with you. I put pig-tails in Emily's hair last night, and they were so adorable. She usually doesn't let me do them, but she did last night.
We also made some cute pictures outside after church. I made this little dress for her, and it has an "E" stitched on the front of it. I hope that I'll be able to sew for this new little one too, whether it's a boy or a girl...I've not sewn for a boy so I don't know, we'll see. I hope you all have a great week.

Hannah & Emily

Hannah came over this morning to play with Emily. Emily always loves it when she comes over. They are playing shopping right now. They've been playing doctor, dollhouse, drawing & so much already. It's a really big help for me, especially now that I'm starting to not feel good and I'm so tired. I don't have much to write about today, but will try to blog as much as I can over the next couple of months.

I did go back to have my hGC levels re-checked on Wednesday and the result was good. It was around 300 on Monday, and they went up to 1,100 on Wednesday. The baby is definitely growing and we pray that he/she will continue to grow and develop normally. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Last Story Time

We had our last story time at the library yesterday, and it was kind of sad. It will really be our last consistent one forever probably. We start our Parent's Day out program in the fall and it will be on Tuesday & Thursday's, and story time is on Tuesday at our library. I guess I could pray they change it to Wednesday's. We had "Skippy Jon Jones" come, for those of you who don't know who he is, he's a Siamese Cat, who thinks he's a Chiqawawa dog (forgive on the spelling). Emily wasn't scared of him like I thought she would be. A friend from church was there so she went up close to him with her so I could get a good picture.

Emily's Gonna Be a Big Sister

Well it's "official" news now. We are expecting another little one. We found out last week I was pregnant on Wednesday, because I was cramping and hurting alot. I took the test and well, it was positive. I had an appointment today with the Dr., originally for my yearly physical, but I went and surprised them. Because I have been cramping so much he did an ultrasound to make sure it wasn't an etopic (tubal) pregnancy, or to see if I had a cyst. No cyst, and they could see a small sac already forming in the uterus, which is a GOOD sign. Usually you can't see anything this early on in pregnancy. I'm 4 weeks along, and will go back Wed. to do more blood work to see how it compares to what they drew today. They're checking my hormone levels to see how they increase, that will help them better determine how far along I am.

I'm already tired and starting to feel a little queezy. I think alot of it is in my head though, so I keep trying to talk myself out of feeling sick. They do say that the 2nd child is totally different, and that you can start feeling it sooner, and even start showing sooner. I already am "pooching" out, which is CRAZY!!!!! I laughed and told Glenn it must be twins! Ha ha, just kidding. When they did the ultrasound he said that there was no extra fluid hanging around so that was good though!

I'll keep you all posted on how things are going. For now, please just pray that God will grow and develop this baby normally. Pray that everything will be fine, and that I won't be cramping anymore.

Swimming Day

I know I usually don't post this many times in a week, but we went swimming this morning and just had to put up some pictures. Hannah went with us, so Emily was thrilled. The water was rather cold, as the sun wasn't out, but we still had fun. Emily got out with floaties and a tube all by herself. Of course Hannah or I were right there beside her. Sun, Rain & Clouds

The past few days have been wonderful. We've had some rain in the evenings, cloudy cool mornings and a little sun to make you smile. Emily & I enjoyed several hours outside this morning. We "weeded" and worked in our "garden" (ha ha), and then went for a walk. She was exceptionally good in the stroller so it made it much more enjoyable on my part as the sun was starting to come out and get a little hotter.

I just wanted to blog and update on my daddy, if you read my earlier posts. His PSA levels were high so he went to see a urologist yesterday. The Dr. thinks he just has an infection and has put him on antibiotics for a month. They'll recheck him after that and see if the levels have gone down. We're praying they do, and I have hope that they will. If they aren't down then they'll do a biopsy. Hopefully we won't have to worry about that...so keep praying for him.I also have another prayer request...a couple in our neighborhood who we are good friends with, Mr. Eldon & Mrs. Faye. He has been battling cancer for many months, and the tumors just keep growing. We went to their house on the 4th to watch the fireworks and you can really tell that he's looking really sick. When he first started chemo you couldn't tell he was sick. He went for months and wasn't sick at all. The hot summer is really making it worse on him because he loves to work in the yard. His wife does alot too, but has been having some back problems. She's had an MRI and is waiting to hear back from it. I hope that it's nothing more than a bulging disc, but it is sounding like a herniated disc or spinal stenonis. I ask you to pray for them because they are so dear to us, especially Emily. They are like her grandparents here in town. It's so hard to watch such a lively sweet family get so down so fast. Thank you for all your prayers and I hope you have a great rest of the week.

Happy 4th of July Weekend

We have all had a fun filled 4th of July weekend. Glenn's parents went back to MS on Saturday afternoon, but we all gathered for a bar-b-que lunch from Fincher's before they left. We hated to see them go but we'll most likely see them in a few weeks when we go to MS for the Fair. Uncle Randy is still here so we've enjoyed having him for a couple of extra days. Emily had enjoyed it too!!!

Saturday night we went over to Mrs. Faye and Mr. Eldon's house to watch the fireworks from their dock. No one got mosquito bites but me, I got 8!!! I even sprayed alot! I'm just glad Emily didn't because hers are alot worse than mine. We haven't done much today but go to Sunday school and church (where Glenn & I kept Emily's class 2nd hours). We all rested this afternoon, for some reason I've been so tired today, I guess it's just from getting to bed too late last night.

OH an update on our " big girl"...she has now decided that she doesn't need to be rocked anymore at bedtime. We lost the pacifier last weekend, put up the big girl bed this week, and now no rocking!!! Where has my little girl gone....or rather where has my baby girl gone, she's still a little girl, now just growing up on us. I hope you all have a great week.

July 3rd

4th of July Weekend Approaches

We are starting our 4th of July celebrations today with our cook-out with Glenn's family. His parents and brother came into town last night and they'll be coming over in a little while and we will grill out and make home-made peach ice cream. We went down to Lane peach packing this morning and got us some peaches, YUMMY. The ones I'll be using in the ice cream though will be from Dickey's (they're more ripe). As always we loved watching them in the factory, washing and sticking the peaches. We tried to figure out how many peaches go through there each day, and I think we estimated like 400,000 if not WAY more. We didn't know how many peaches are in a bushel.

We also went and ate supper with them last night over at grandaddy Griffin's apartment. We had some good country cooking!!! Enjoy the pictures and I'll be posting more later.

Big Girl Bed

Well Emily slept in her big girl bed last night for the first time. She flushed the pacifier on Saturday night, and we finally got the big girl bed up and fixed for her last night. I felt strange leaving her in there last night, but I had my cry time Saturday night when we first started getting it put up. I can't believe my little baby is growing up so fast. The next thing I know she'll be graduating high school and so on. I made pictures of her this morning by it...as you expect I would. Since they don't make rails for toddler beds, I pulled out my pillow I had when I was pregnant and fit it on to make a side. It doesn't look like it fits, but trust me it's snug.
