Okay so I didn't narrate part 1 very much, because we were getting ready to head to fall festival...but We had a blast this first part of the week with Glenn's family up in the GA mountains. We saw LOTS of turkey as you can see and thanks to my neat zoom and some editing I got some cool photos. We went to the GA racing hall of fame yesterday and both kids LOVED the cars!!!
After the museum we went to an outlet mall then we went to Amicalola falls and hiked up! It's the tallest waterfall this side of the MS river! We didn't go ALL the way up, because we had to come back down to get the car and drive up to eat at the lodge SO we went ALL the way up to the actual falls, you can see in the picture below the falls in the top middle...that's where the next group photo was taken...yes ALL the way up there!! BUT we did it!
The leaves were scare because hurricane Sandy brought all those 40-50 mile wind gusts, but we did have a few here and there!
The TOP of the falls! SO pretty. Coming down was much easier!
Emily liked to be in the front! Once we got back down, we met Glenn's parents and then drove up to the top to eat supper at the lodge. A very nice relaxing place to eat with a great view, but you can tell in this picture that both my kids were exhausted, so the environment wasn't as good as it could've been with a toddler with NO nap, and a 6 year old who'd hiked a huge waterfall trail all in one day!
To end the day and our trip, we had a beautiful sunset! We enjoyed every minute, but now are at home, and finishing up the night!!!
